Welcome to week 3 of the design team. This week I had fun looking at different cuts and folds for card, I took my inspiration from Vamp Stamps eArticle called Speciality Card Folds: Cards with More Than One Fold (link can be found here. I would encourage you to have a look at the other eArticles.
I settled on a tri fold card with the top of the card stepped, on relection I think that this stamp was a bit too big for this but overall the card came out quite well.

Welcome to the 2nd week of the June design team. This week I have gone pink and made a very simple and easy gift tag. I have used Melon Mambo as my colour this week as it so such as bright a cheery colour, brightens up any day.
For this project you will need
Remarkable You stamp set
White card stock (3 1/2 by 5 1/2)
Cardstock (4 by 6)
Verasafine black onyx
Stampin Write Markers (melon mambo)
All Things Thanks stamp set.
Ribbon to match.
I rounded the corners of the tag and stamped in the image in black ink. Using the stampin marker and coloured in the dark parts of the calla lily and used a water brush to drag the colour to make the lighter or highlight areas. This would also look great on the front of a card as well.
There will be a video to follow but I have such a busy week and the weekend was the wedding of a very good friend so I had not weekend to shoot the video.
God bless and happy stamping.
Hello and welcome to week 1 for the June Pootles design team.
This month’s stamp set is called Remarkable You (click to purchase). This stamp was never on my radar, I don’t know why as it is flowers and something I can colour in, both of which I love.
As this stamp is a very clean and elegant I want to mimick that in the finished project as I don’t do fussy cards (if that what you are looking for you’ve come to the wrong place). I also wanted to single layer card but to too boring that’s why I decided to cut a panel out.
I have done a short video (well short for me) on how I completed that card.
What you will need
I 5×7 card base in white.
Colour pencils, I used Faber Castell polychromos is the following colours, helioblue reddish (151), ultramarine (120) and sky blue (146) for the flowers. As long as you have a dark, medium and light shade of a colour you are fine. For the leaf, I used juniper green (165)
A scrap of cardstock for the strip (I used night of navy but any colour that matches or goes with the colour of the flower.
Black ink and clear embossing power and some
Hope you will try this and see you next time
Welcome to another week of Pootlers Design month. Today is another card project (well 4 to be exact). I have four 4×4 notecards that fit into the box from a video and I post a few weeks back
I have used the Have a Cuppa designer series paper and Melon Mambo, Tempting turquoise (I think). I love to have things that I put in the present drawer so that if small gifts are needed I can go shopping at home (I also like shopping in my wardrobe but that’s another story). This is also such an easy card that it can be done quite quickly, that hardest part was working out the box measurements.
I also love to colour and I have used the Stampin’ Up markers so that everything matches and look so good together.
Gotta go but have a lovely day and happy crafting.
Welcome to the first week of January’s design for Pootles, using the stamp set Bella and Friends (141870) from the annual catalogue. I have wanted to try a gate fold card for some time and thought this was a good opportunity to have a go.
The card measure 5 by 7 inches and so it a nice size but not too big. The base of from Sweet Sugar plum and the designer series paper is Blooms and Wishes and the sentiment is All Things Thanks (143097) from the Spring Summer catalogue. I mask of the stamp from the Bella and Friends so that I just had the puppy and the balloon without the bird, partly because I wanted to be able to fit the stamp into the Layering Ovals Framelets (141706) and partly beacuseI liked the look.
I also used my Spectrum noir alcohol markers to colour in the image as I like the streak free look of using alcohol markers that you can’t get with water based markers.
Thanks for reading and hope that you will try the stamp set.
God bless and happy crafting.
