Welcome to week 3 of the design team. This week I had fun looking at different cuts and folds for card, I took my inspiration from Vamp Stamps eArticle called Speciality Card Folds: Cards with More Than One Fold (link can be found here. I would encourage you to have a look at the other eArticles.
I settled on a tri fold card with the top of the card stepped, on relection I think that this stamp was a bit too big for this but overall the card came out quite well.

Hello and welcome to week 1 for the June Pootles design team.
This month’s stamp set is called Remarkable You (click to purchase). This stamp was never on my radar, I don’t know why as it is flowers and something I can colour in, both of which I love.
As this stamp is a very clean and elegant I want to mimick that in the finished project as I don’t do fussy cards (if that what you are looking for you’ve come to the wrong place). I also wanted to single layer card but to too boring that’s why I decided to cut a panel out.
I have done a short video (well short for me) on how I completed that card.
What you will need
I 5×7 card base in white.
Colour pencils, I used Faber Castell polychromos is the following colours, helioblue reddish (151), ultramarine (120) and sky blue (146) for the flowers. As long as you have a dark, medium and light shade of a colour you are fine. For the leaf, I used juniper green (165)
A scrap of cardstock for the strip (I used night of navy but any colour that matches or goes with the colour of the flower.
Black ink and clear embossing power and some
Hope you will try this and see you next time

Sorry it has been nearly a week since my last post I’ve not been feeling 100%. Anyway back to the project, this is a very quick and easy which at the moment is just what I need. In this video, I show you how to use Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers to colour an image from JustInklined (link here) called Man At Work. Although I have used shading to colour the image it would look just a neat and great just as a coloured image.

Welcome to the beginning of another week. I hope you all has a wonderful weekend, we went to see LA LA Land which was lovely I recommend you go and see it. Anyway back to the card, this came about because I wasn’t feeling very creative this weekend but I really wanted to get a video out to all my lovely subscribers and I wanted to use some of my washi tape.
This is such a quick card and did not take long and it is endlessly adaptable to whatever the reason needed.

Today I have created a quick card using the Beautiful You Stamp set from the new catalogue.

Triple Foral die (from Spellbinders) from white card for the mat
Versafine black ink
A piece of Designer Series Paper (I used a piece from Have a Cuppa
A pair of sharp scissors
Crushed Curry ink and
Number of years stamp set and matching die set.

Just a quick post about the card topper that I showed you in the video.
For this card topper, I used the Bunch of Blossom stamp set from my online store. I used the outline stamp from the largest petal as I wanted to be able to colour them in with my Spectrum Noirs, I tried to chose colour that I felt would match the colours of some of our cardstock. The pink one I did in the video I think matches so well with the Melon Mambo and the Yellow with the Daffodil Delight (card in the next blog and video Monday).
The die that I used for cutting out the frame is from Spellbinders Pearl effects and it can be purchased from the link
I think it is a great idea to have a stack of card toppers that can be easily placed on a card when one is needed.
God bless and have a wonderful weekend.
